Soros Associates has planned and engineered a wide variety of port projects. Comprehensive master plan studies for ports in 26 countries, ranging from single product ports to the Industrial Ports Program of Mexico, have encompassed cargo forecasting, economic evaluation, and financial analysis in agreement with the standards of the major international lending institutions.

Design for over 500 bulk, liquid and general cargo port facilities, of which 14 are at virgin sites, have included site selection, navigation aids, channel alignment, turning basins, dredging, land reclamation, seawalls, breakwaters, and all types of marine structures.

	MIDTAP Petroleum Loading Facility Engineering, procurement and construction management services were provided by Soros for a new liquid and solid petroleum products loading facility for MIDTAP (Middle Eastern Tankage and Pipeline) at the Port of El-Dekheila-Alexandria, Egypt.
	Industrial Ports Program of Mexico Soros Associates executed a Master Plan addressing the technical and economic feasibility of several ports.
